Profile

Skylar Xue Wan is a lecturer in International Business with a focus on the microfoundations of multinational enterprises (MNEs), such as corporate governance and strategic leadership. Her research explores how directors of the board and CEOs lead MNEs in a global context.

She was a visiting scholar at the Mays Business School, Texas A&M University, where she deepened her understanding of strategic management and governance. Skylar is passionate about data analytics and applies tools like Python and machine learning algorithms in her research to uncover new insights.

Her work has been published in leading journals, including the Journal of Management Studies (a Financial Times 50 journal). Skylar also has hands-on experience working with large international organizations, contributing to research and projects that connect academic knowledge with real-world challenges.
